The M.E.B.A. Pension Trust has repurchased the land underneath the Hall of the States building in Washington D.C. that houses M.E.B.A. Headquarters. The land had been sold 12 years ago for liquidity purposes to pay pension benefits.

M.E.B.A. has purchase a new all in Long Beach, CA to replace the aging space in San Pedro. The purchase ensures that the M.E.B.A. will have a modern, functional and strategically located facility to serve its members and support its operations for years to come.

Beginning September 14, mariners will submit applications electronically through NavitaTM, which will provide guided workflows intended to simplify the application process and help mariners submit complete applications. To prepare for the launch, the National Maritime Center (NMC) is taking several steps to facilitate applications processing.
